essay procrastination; guilt by association

Seeing as I'm the queen of procrastination, I'm blogging, reading a journal article, reading over the assessment guidelines of my latest assignment, organising my file folders, making an iTunes playlist & cleaning my desk all at once.

I need to start writing (900/3000 words; but it's shit and I'm scared to do more), I just wanna watch the trashiest of trashy tv shows and go to bed. I want to read books, in particular the new Lionel Shriver book. I want to actually read The Sunday Age. I want to dance. I want to drive along Beach Rd at night with my radio blaring. I can't wait for uni tomorrow so I get a chance to a) get dressed in nice clothes b) listen to lectures instead of sitting on my computer, wondering whether I should write my essay and c) buy a coffee. I want to wear my new coat that I shouldn't have really bought. I want my parents to piss off out for dinner or something so I can be home alone & blast my new Death In Vegas cd. I've bought 7 cds in the last two weeks; clearly I have hoarding issues. Clearly, a big tub of evia yoghurt (plain, with frozen rasberries) is waaaaaay too much sugar for my body & should be avoided.

Exciting things that have happened today:
- Mum worked out how to scan photos/my driver's license on the new printer. It's really good printer. I've sinced participated in a discussion of how my mother intends to spend all her free time this year scanning every single photo in her collection (from say, the 70s onwards) that's not digitalized.
- It's Sunday. Therefore we get both the age & the herald sun home delivered. And I can spend hours reading those magazines under the guise of 'I'm a uni student, I'm supposed to be informed about what's happening in the world'

In short, nothing exciting as happened. Thankyou, blogspot, for killing some time (the second title of this post comes from the song by Louis XIV, blame iTunes on shuffle)
